ICAT is supporting Kyrgyzstan to set up frameworks for NDC tracking, greenhouse gas emission projections and impact assessment of selected policies and measures .Kyrgyzstan is also a member of ICAT's regional climate action transparency hub for Central Asia.

Overview

Support thethe development and institutionalization of a framework for greenhouse gas emission projections, coupled with an NDC tracking framework for the energy sector. Enhance capacity to plan, measure, manage, and track the implementation and update of NDC mitigation policies and measures by putting in place frameworks for greenhouse gas emissions projections, impact assessment of the selected policies and measures, regular data collection, and NDC tracking, including development of the appropriate indicators for reporting on progress achieved.

  • Establish a framework for greenhouse gas emissions projections in the energy sector.
  • Assess the greenhouse gas impacts of selected policies and measures in the energy sector.
  • Develop an NDC tracking framework for the energy sector.
  • Validation, preliminary replicability analysis in AFOLUsector, andclosure.
