ToolboxICAT is supporting Paraguay to strengthen the management and monitoring of the implementation the forest sector targets of its NDC by establishing a framework for the ongoing collection and management of the necessary data. This includes data for the estimation of greenhouse gas emissions and removals, the assessment of the impact of policies and measures, and the development of appropriate indicators to report on progress.

Overview
Establish an MRV framework for the LULUCF sector and build capacities for its implementation and maintenance, ensuring timely estimation, compilation, and reporting of GHG inventories; assess the impact of key forest policies and measures while developing capacities for their regular maintenance and updates; and develop a framework for monitoring the LULUCF targets of the NDC with sustained functionality.
