Saint Vincent and the Grenadines

ICAT supports the Government of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines—through the Ministry of Tourism, Civil Aviation and Sustainable Development—in enhancing sectoral MRV systems and analytical capacity to support NDC 3.0 development and implementation. The project assists in the development and implementation of NDC 3.0 mitigation efforts, while strengthening national capacity to meet international reporting requirements, attract climate finance, and improve long-term climate governance.

Overview

The overall objective of the project is to strengthen the capacity of Saint Vincent and the Grenadines to develop, implement, and track the mitigation component of its NDC 3.0 by establishing a robust sectoral MRV framework, enhancing analytical and modelling capabilities, and improving the quality and usability of climate-related data. In particular, the project will develop a functional sectoral MRV system for the energy sector, including transport, while strengthening analytical tools and institutional capacity for emissions projections, mitigation impact assessment, and NDC tracking.
