ToolboxICAT is supporting Togo to improve its ability to track progress on its climate goals by strengthening its national MRV framework and developing a system for tracking its NDCs. This includes improving data quality, establishing arrangements and procedures to ensure accuracy, and incorporating sub-national levels into the reporting process.

Overview

Policy assessment
- Strengthening of institutional arrangements for a comprehensive national MRV system, including integration of the sub-national level.
- Enhancement of data quality for the NDC through revision of baseline and mitigation scenarios for 2030 and 2050, using the GACMO tool.
- Development of an NDC tracking system and strengthening of the MRV framework through the development of indicators, data collection format and the establishment of QA/QC procedures.
