ICAT is providing support to Vanuatu to enhance institutional arrangements for greenhouse gas inventory MRV systems in priority sectors (waste, agriculture, IPPU and transport). The project will also conduct agriculture policy impact assessments and will seek to develop recommendations for including agriculture sector policies in Vanuatu’s enhanced NDC.

Overview
The project focuses on building Vanuatu’s capacity in:
- Implementing elements of the GHG inventory MRV systems for the prioritized categories based on a sustainable institutional arrangement for managing GHG data aiming to institutionalize sectoral inventories and create a robust evidence base for agriculture policy impact analysis based on ICAT methodology,
- measuring the performance of the targeted climate policies and actions in livestock, and
- Develop recommendations for including agriculture sector policies in Vanuatu’s enhanced NDC.
